The story is about Higgins, a senior German shepherd who lives most of his life behind the kennel in the shelter.
Nobody wanted to adopt him. The shelter didn’t want to give up on him and the dog himself too.
He was always full of hope that one day they will find a forever loving home.
When Higgins was first brought to the shelter, he immediately found an owner.
However, the family that adopted him wasn’t a good one and the poor dog returned to the shelter.
In that house he was just a chained dog whom the owners didn’t want to take care.
Once a person with a roaming dog came in, and they understood that it was him.
Higgins was worried not knowing whether he will get adopted or not.
He always looked for someone who will take care of him and be a forever home.
Everyone started to think he had some problems as his face usually looked very sad.
Brendon Reed, a 22-year-old guy just couldn’t pass by when he saw his photo.
He fell in love with him and decided to adopt.
Riggins now has a loving dad and a comfy sofa where he can lay and have a good rest.
